Posters and other visual aids at workplace are essential tools to promote important messages to employees and associates. Posters not only enhance the look and feel of the workplace, but also act as training & information source for its people.
In order to have a lasting effect on the people, the poster displays need to have the following features:
- The posters need to be have great designs, graphics and colors in order to attract attention.
- Posters should be of appropriate size depending on the location where they are displayed.
- Posters should be displayed at a height where they can be easily seen by the eye.
- The font size of letters used in posters should be based on the distance from which the people are most likely to see these posters.
- In order to maintain interest, the poster locations should be kept rotating at periodic intervals.
- After about a year or so, the posters should be replaced with new ones.
- The posters must reflect the contemporary topics of interest or the current management concerns.
- The poster language should be according to the educational level and background of the audience.
- There should be less of text and more of pictures and graphics.
- Poster content must be designed by the people conversant with the topic of the poster.
